Robarge mixes art, vintage autos

Gallery owner Stacey Robarge has planned a gallery where art aficionados mingle with Harley fans.
He’s done wonders renovating the large building that used to be Morrison Smith Lumber and recently a used furniture store. Customers will find a well-lit, airy art gallery. The spacious room offers a great venue for the work of area artists like Rebecca Zook, Pat Chaney and Jan Reid. He continues to recruit more artists for the art gallery. WIC Changes
The Outreach Health Services WIC Program will provide immunizations through Thursday, Sept. 30. Early appointments are advised due to limited immunizations. Effective Oct. 1, immunizations will discontinue. Outreach Health Services will continue offering WIC services, nutrition education and counseling and breastfeeding support. WIC staff will also screen immunization records and refer as needed. The hours of operation are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The office is closed from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch.

Awana Ministry will meet from 5:30 to 7:30 Wednesday at Oak Street Complete Story...

Artist to display work in Vernon

The exhibit will be displayed from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday through Sept. 30 at Red River Valley Museum. Rust will exhibit artwork inspired by the late archaic Period and later Native Americans, an ancient people who lived in the lower Pecos River region of Southwest Texas 4,000 years ago. A “meet the artist” reception will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, at the museum.

'Walk across Texas' program to begin

The fitness program, “Walk Across Texas,” will be from Monday, Sept. 31, to Friday, Nov. 5.
Walk Across Texas is sponsored by Texas AgriLife Extension. Participants may register until Sunday, Sept. 12, and begin recording mileage on Monday, Sept. 13.
Walk Across Texas is a program that persuades and motivates people of all ages to make the most important change to get started. It is a fun and flexible way to exercise.
The program is simple, free and safe. All that is needed is a team of eight people to get moving with one person being designated as the Complete Story...
