Members of the 2014 YOU Lead Class were introduced at the You Lead Class Reception on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at the Old Post Office Museum & Art Center. There are 11 participants in this year's class, all coming from very different walks of life. Alex Heartfield, last year's You Lead Class President, described the class of 2014 by noting “I see the diversity background and talents that this group represents.”
The reception was filled with enthusiasm as the class was introduced to community leaders, Chamber Ambassadors, and Chamber members. Alex Heartfield charged each class member with the following words. “I implore you, as you work through the next nine months together to feed off of each other's differences. Each of you has something special to offer this class and your diversity is your strength.”
You Lead is a nine month leadership program facilitated by the Graham Chamber of Commerce and the Young County AgriLife Extension Office.
