According to Extension Agent Brad Morrison, his combinations of history, knowledge, common sense and love for his subject have caused Young County Texas AgriLife to put together a program called “A Day With Barron Rector.”
Those intested in attended should make plans now to be one of the limited number. The day will be made up of visits to specific ranch locations. It will include plant identification, forage evaluation and discussion of beef cattle management methods.
"Eight hours with Dr. Rector is equivalent to a three-day workshop with any other speaker," said Morrison.
It will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15. The day has a $50 registration fee. Those interested can obtain more information or R.S.V.P. the extension office at (940) 549-0737 by Friday, May 10th. The day long program is limited to 20 participants. It will include a steak lunch and three hours of TDA credit.
