When Dennis Newton started working in Newton's Jewelers in 1954, he was following in the footsteps of his father, his grandfather and his great-grandfather. The shop originally started in 1875 in Forney, Texas.

After almost 60 years in the business, Dennis Newton is retiring and closing the store. He wants to have more time for traveling with his wife, Emily, and playing golf. The extra time will also allow him to give more attention to the Celebrity tomato plants he enjoys cultivating.
