Murray Volunteer Fire Department is gearing up for its big barbecue at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at the Murray Fire Station.

The meal will include a hearty, home-cooked barbecue feast featuring brisket, red beans, potato salad, cole slaw and peach cobbler.  Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children, and free for children under 6.

After the meal, there will be an auction and two drawings. For $1 per ticket, people can try to win $300 in groceries or a queen-size quit. You do not have to be present to win.

The Murray Reunion will be at noon Sunday, June 23, at the Murray VFD kitchen. Guests are asked to bring food for a potluck lunch. Plates, drinks and ice will be furnished.

Come early for worship services led by Rev. J.B. McCracken at 9:30 a.m. at Murray Methodist Church.
The Murray Community Cemetery Association will meet following the meal at 1:30 p.m. at the Murray VFD kitchen.
