Local government and business leaders met with representatives from Connected Texas to discuss the Young County Technology Action Plan.
Based on an assessment performed by Connected Texas, Young County is within three points of receiving a Connected Certification which is a nationally recognized platform for spotlighting communities that excel in the access, adoption and use of broadband.
Area leaders discussed the shortcomings of broadband service in Young County. Young County community champion for the project Cam Bennett said the committee will begin working on the priority projects outlined in the plan with another community meeting to come.
