As the new director of social work at Graham Regional Medical Center, she brings joy to patients and staff alike.
When she was only four years old, her dad was in an accident and became a quadriplegic. Every summer she and her family traveled hundreds of miles to Craig Hospital in Denver, Colo. At the time, it was the nearest hospital to provide rehabilitation for spinal cord injury.
From that early experience, Moody considered physical therapy but while taking classes at Midwestern State University, she decided she best loved the social work classes. Moody interned under Leayh Graham the entire time she was working on her bachelor's and master's degrees in social work and earning the required certification.
Becky Ribble, GRMC administrative assistant and patient advocate, is thrilled to work alongside Moody. Ribble said that Moody is literally a joy to work with.
