Thanks to the Ask for Your Wish of a Lifetime Foundation, Cleota Lenert is getting the dream of a lifetime granted.

Ninety-years-young Horizon Bay resident Cleota Lenert is looking forward to sailing above the tree tops in a hot air balloon on Nov. 2.

On that day, she and her daughter, Earl Ann Bumpus, wife of Dr. Mark Bumpus, pastor of First Baptist Church in Graham, will drive to Tulsa, Okla., where accommodations are available for riders in wheelchairs.

Horizon Bay Life Enrichment Director Nikki Petty has a lot to do with Lenert's ambitious venture.
“Last May, I asked Cleota what would she wish for if she could have any wish granted,” Petty said.
At first, Lenert couldn't think of anything, but she recalled her wish many years ago to fly above the tree tops in a hot air balloon.”
