SAN MARCOS, Texas (AP) Police in Central Texas say they've identified a suspect in the early-morning shooting death of two people.
San Marcos police Chief Howard Williams said at a news conference Thursday that 23-year-old Daniel Brewster Stillwell is being sought in the deaths of his ex-girlfriend and a man. Twenty-two-year-old Hailey Nicholls and 26-year-old Jesse Robledo were shot multiple times early Thursday in Nicholls' apartment.
Responding officers found a sliding-glass door had been shattered with a brick to gain entry.
Williams says Stillwell and Nicholls had been students at Texas State University and they worked at one time with Robledo at the same Mexican restaurant.
The chief says the search for Stillwell is continuing.
