The Graham Steers looked rusty in their 71-39 win over the Hirschi Huskies Thursday night at Memorial Stadium in Wichita Falls.
Both teams came out swinging with three touchdowns a piece in the first quarter, but Graham owned the second quarter with three straight touchdowns and went into halftime with a 42-19 lead.
When play returned after halftime, the Steers drove the ball 65 yards in three plays capped by a Dillon Gonzales touchdown run and a Ben Davis two-point conversion run to put the score at 50-19.
The Huskies continued to fight and responded with a touchdown of their own to make the score 50-25.
Mikey Freeze returned the ensuing kickoff to the house for a Graham 57-25 lead.
Both teams finished the game alternating touchdowns and the Steers ended up on top.
