The long saga of the old law enforcement center on the southwest corner of the Square in Graham began its week-long end Monday, as heavy machinery owned by Matrix Demolition began reducing the structure to rubble at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Over the past two weeks, the building was stripped clean and checked for asbestos. From start to finish, the seven-day process began with two large hydraulic excavators breaking down the southern walls of the structure and will likely be completed Sunday, April 5, with all of the rubble hauled away by then, leaving a flat, empty lot.
