Bible Study
Saint Michael’s Estates will host a Bible study at 10 a.m. each Wednesday in its community room. The study is open to the community. Bring a Bible and join in. For information, call (940) 521-0494.
HSYC Adoption Special
The Humane Society of Young County will have a two-for-one adoption special for cats and kittens beginning Saturday and ending Tuesday, June 30. Cost for adopting two cats/kittens is $50 and includes shots, de-worming, spaying and neutering. For information, call (940) 549-1692.
Art Exhibit
An exhibit featuring artwork by Marie Neudorf will be displayed until Friday, July 31, at Midwestern State University Museum and Art Gallery located at 2 Eureka Circle in Wichita Falls. Museum hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Saturday.
GJHS Trip
Any Graham Junior High School student who plans to travel to New York City and Washington D.C. in the summer of 2010 is encouraged to contact Mrs. Joyce at (940) 549-1151, before registering. Changes have been made that will lower the cost. Those who have already registered may contact Mrs. Joyce for an update.
Bible School
Newcastle First United Methodist Church Vacation Bible school will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday through Friday at the church. Children ages 4 through sixth grade are invited to attend.
Burn School
The North Central Texas Prescribed Burn Association has organized a Certified Prescribed Burn School to be conducted in Graham 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday at the Young County Arena. There are two levels of certification — a commercial certified prescribed burn manager and a private certified prescribed burn manager. Cost will be $50 per student. Pre-registration is required. Mason Installation
Young County Masonic Lodge No. 485 AF & AM will hold an open called meeting on Thursday for the installation of officers at the Young County Masonic Lodge Hall in Graham. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. with the open installation following at 7:30 p.m. All area Masons, their families and friends are invited to attend.
Performance
No Class Trio, Snuff Garrett Duet and the Hot Tickets will perform Thursday at Clark Gardens. Advance tickets for lawn seating cost $12 per adult, $8 for children 11 to 15 and free for children 10 and under. Limited reserved tables are available for $20 per ticket. Bake sale fund-raisers for Tyler Fisher will be at 8 a.m. Thursday and Friday in front of Everette’s Jewelers and Wal-Mart. Desserts and casseroles will be sold.

Murray RVFD BBQ
Murray Rural Volunteer Fire Department will host a home-cooked barbecue and auction at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at the Murray Fire Station. Tickets are $7.50 for adults, $3.50 for children and children under 6 eat free. Raffle tickets will be sold for $1 each. The raffle drawing for $300 in groceries at United Supermarkets will take place during the auction.

Angel Food Ministry Orders will be ready for pick-up at time designated on receipts Saturday, June 27, at the East door of the Senior Citizens Center located at 825 Fairview St.

Murray Reunion
The Murray Reunion will be at noon Sunday, June 28, at the Murray RVFD kitchen. Bring food for lunch. Plates, drinks and ice will be furnished. Come early for the church service at 9 a.m. at Murray Methodist Church led by J.B. McCracken, pastor.

Johnathan Southerland, Master of Young County Masonic Lodge No. 485 AF & Am announces an open called meeting at 4 p.m. Friday, July 3, at the Young County Masonic Lodge Hall. The lodge will present the Golden Trowel Award, the highest honor awarded to a Mason by the Graham Lodge of Texas. The public, all Masons, family and friends are invited.
Abernathy Reunion
The Abernathy Ex-Students Association will host a reunion for everyone who has attended Abernathy school during the week of July 3-5. All past and present teachers are welcome. There will be individual class reunions and a general assembly on Saturday afternoon, July 4. The Kiwanis Club of Graham will host its 4th of July Pancake Breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 4, at the American Legion Building. The cost is $6 per person for all you can eat. Kids under 5 eat free.
TEA Party
A TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party will begin immediately following the Independence Day parade Saturday, July 4, on the Young County Courthouse lawn. The TEA Party is a national movement to protest the government’s spending of trillions of dollars. For information, call Gina Winn at (817) 266-2525.
Loving Fireworks
The Loving Community Center invites you to join them for “Fireworks at the Center,” Bring fireworks at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 4, where folks will enjoy a fireworks display after dark. There will be a concession stand available. Fee is $1 per person with preschoolers free. No coolers.
