“Serving in the Texas House of Representatives has been a great privilege and honor. This great state continues to face many challenges including the rural regions. I want to make sure that our region of the state is represented to the fullest and that our needs are not ignored,” said Hardcastle. “The next legislative session will be most important for our rural district as we tackle issues like redistricting, energy, transportation funding, eminent domain and balancing the state’s budget.
Hardcastle serves on the House Energy Resources Committee and the Agriculture and Livestock Committee. In addition, Rep. He serves on the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee of the National Conference of State Legislatures which focuses on agriculture, agricultural trade, biotechnology, pesticides, rural development and water policy issues and he was recently appointed to the Texas BioEnergy Policy Council by Speaker Joe Straus.
