Hospital conducting community survey to plan for future

The mission of Graham Regional Medical Center is to be the best place for patients to receive care, employees to work and physicians to practice medicine… and all of this begins with strategic planning.
By definition, a strategic plan plots a roadmap from where an organization currently is to where it needs to go.  Determining the needs of the community is a key component in development of the strategic plan.
To that end, Graham Regional Medical Center is currently conducting a community survey to help determine future services for people of Graham and the surrounding communities.
Working with Quorum Health Resources, Graham Regional has developed an online survey that is being made accessible to all members of the community. This survey will allow community members to express their opinion about current services offered at Graham Regional, as well as provide input about new services needed and other unmet healthcare needs.
Completing the survey is simple. Participants just need to enter the following internet address into their web browser and follow the online instructions — www.surveymonkey.com/s/Q6P8LLC
Gathering survey information is only the beginning of the process. Analysis of data collected from community members will be followed by ongoing meetings of the hospital board of directors, medical staff, employees and other key stakeholders of Graham Regional. Then, a final report is compiled by QHR and reported to the hospital board, which is given to hospital administration for implementation.
A strategic plan helps us determine where we’ve been, where we are now and where we’d like to be at some point in the future (in terms of services we offer, physicians we may need to recruit and buildings that need to be built).
Some of the previous strategic planning items included the Women’s Center, Fitness and Rehabilitation Center, hospitalist program and ICU development.
