Graham City Council move forward with implementing an i-Info system which would allow officials to notify the public by computer phone call of an emergency situation.

John Abrams of the Alliance for Community Solutions talked to the council about resident and responder notification that is much more than reverse 9-1-1.

The city would be able to load all of the 9-1-1 information on landline phone numbers, along contact information for water customers.

Residents of the city will also be able to register with the service that can allow updates on a variety of topics from various city departments.

Abrams showed how other cities are using it like Canyon where residents can register for National Weather Service updates, a variety of library updates, police and general city updates all of which requires registration for emergency notices and public safety warnings.
