Starting June 27, Graham will no longer have a Citibank branch.

The closure is part of a company-wide decision to focus on its branches in larger cities, and though Graham customers won't be able to drive to a branch in town after that date, other banking platforms such as mobile, online and ATM access will remain available to all of its customers.

Representatives from the Graham Citibank branch are not allowed to comment on the closure, but Andrew Brent, director of public affairs for Citi, said 29 branches and one drive-up location will close in June as a result of the decision.

“We continually seek ways to optimize our branch network, which includes opening, renovating and, where appropriate, closing branches,” Brent said via email. “Accordingly, we have determined that a select number of branches in Texas do not fit our market strategy that focuses on major cities. They will close in June 2014.”

The decision also affects other areas of Young County, including Olney, as well as five locations in Wichita Falls.
