After a late start on Monday due to cold, all around nasty weather for a golf tournament in April, Graham is sitting in 8th place after the first round of regional play. 

Throughout the first round of play at the region 1-3A tournament, Ryan Buchanan led the pack for the Steers with a day-one score of 79, followed by Brody O'Dell at 82, Coby Bryant with an 83, Spencer Skidmore with a 90 and Justin Escalon with a 94.

Graham finished with a total score of 334, which was good enough to remain ahead of Perryton (351), Kennedale (365), Alvarado (368), Glen Rose (372), Mineral Wells (377), Fort Stockton (378), Pecos (379) and Vernon (381).

Teams standing ahead of Graham after the first round are Andrews Black (296), Lampasas (306), Llano (309), Borger (318), Abilene Wylie (320), and Andrews Gold and Big Spring are tied for sixth at 321 a piece.

The regional tournament at Shadow Hills in Lubbock is scheduled to conclude on Tuesday, April 15.
