Nine-year-old Jordee Pierce will undergo surgery to receive a pacemaker at Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth.
Jordee, the daughter of James and Jonie Pierce of Bryson, suffers from Bradycardia, a condition that causes slow heart rate. This condition will last Jordee's entire life. She will receive a new pacemaker every 10 years. Jonie's family members have set up an account for Jordee at First National Bank under the name "Jonie Pierce, Special."
