A group of church members will do their part to make Graham a cleaner place Saturday.

Church members of Oak Street Baptist Church will pick up trash at the entrance to Graham on Highway 380  at 8 a.m., in conjunction with Keep Graham Beautiful’s Fall Trash-Off.

“Part of our service is reaching out to people,” said Normal Flowers, associate pastor and student minister at OSBC.

At 9:30 a.m., about 30 OSBC youth will meet up to clean and repair local homes of the disabled and the elderly.

KGB President Roy Robinson said that organizations may send groups to clean up specific areas. OSBC is the only organization that has confirmed their spot in the clean-up effort so far for Saturday.

Four of five of Graham’s entrance highways have been adopted. The only one that hasn’t is Highway. 67, which leads to Breckenridge. To apply to adopt Highway 67, contact the KGB at (940) 456-2909.

The Trash-Off will  kick off from 8 a.m. to noon on the Square.
