John Bagley Jr., age 90, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 10, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney with Scotte Clark, minister of the Hamilton Street Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Jean Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
John was born Aug. 5, 1922, to the late John Ed and Lydia (Barfield) Bagley Sr., in San Antonio. He and Runez Jeter were married Oct. 9, 1959, in Olney. They moved to Olney from Dallas in 1966. John was a painting contractor and worked in construction and was a member of Jean Methodist Church in Jean. John was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in World War II. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
John was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bill Bagley and Gene Bagley; and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Runez Bagley of Olney; one son, Joe Bagley and wife Debbie of Olney; two daughters, Kendra K. Bagley of Stamford and Rhue Manes and husband Mike of Graham; four grandchildren, Melissa Miller and husband Trey and Rachel Finch and husband Matt, all of Keller, and Derek Bagley and wife Lauren and Zach Bagley, all of Olney; two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Christian Miller; four other grandchildren; eight other great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
