Donald Ray Gallaher passed away Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, in Amarillo. A memorial service was held Aug. 19 at Green Acres Baptist Church Chapel in Tyler.
Don was born June 28, 1936, in Amarillo. to J. B. and Ethel Gallaher. He went to school in Skellytown and married Aurelia Adams in 1955. Moved to Graham in 1965. Don worked as a pipeline welder for 30 years before retiring. Since then he has been working as a welding inspector. He worked all over the United States.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Ethel Gallaher; his biological mother Mae Richardson and brother Warren Tuckness.
Survivors are his wife, Aurelia of Flint; daughter, Sherry Hatcher and husband Heath of Flint; son, Greg Gallaher and wife Leigh Ann of Graham; grandchildren, Chanda Camp, Casey Brewer and husband Kevin, all of Flint, Morgan Huffman of Abilene and Karsyn and Lucas Gallaher of Graham, great-grandchildren Taryn Smoot, Draven Bowman and Luke Huggins, all Flint; a sister, Joyce Hawkins, Oklahoma City. Four sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law, several nieces, nephews and many friends.
