Daniel Boone Nantz of Heber Springs, Ark., born July 13, 1920, in Perrin, and went home to the Lord on Tuesday, April 29, 2014. He was 93 years old.  

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at Olmstead Funeral Chapel in Heber Springs.

He was the son of the late John Nantz and Elizabeth York Nantz.

After military service in the U.S. Navy he worked as a rancher and carpenter where he built the first brick home in Chico, and was known for building and laying the brick on their post office, which still stands.

D.B. was predeceased by his sweetheart, Mary F. Nantz.  

He is survived by his four children, Peggy Hackett, Beverly Johnson, Daniel Nantz and Tim Nantz; and 27 grandchildren.
