Gladys Martin Geis, 99, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Eliasville Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Gladys was born Jan. 18, 1917 in Eliasville, to the late Robert Dee and Annie Laura (Kirkland) Poindexter. She married Charles R. Martin and he preceded her in death in 1965. She married Ernest W. Geis on March 9, 1972 in Seymour. Survivors include her husband, Ernest Geis of Graham; son, Mac Martin and wife June of Eliasville; grandchildren, Rodney Martin and wife Robin of Eliasville, Penny Patterson and husband Chris of Eliasville; daughter, Gloria Henderson of Olney; son, Danny Thacker of Jacksboro; four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, six step-grandchildren, eight great-step-grandchildren, four great-great-step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Candice Martin; sisters, Eula Dowdle, Evelyn Chapman, Nita Bishop and Lillian Poindexter; brother, Bob Poindexter; and a son, Ernest Geis Jr. Visitation was held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Beyond Faith Hospice.
