Doris Lois Clarida

Doris Lois Clarida passed away April 5, 2022, in Graham. Funeral Services will be held Thursday April 7 at 10 a.m. at McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home. Graveside will be held Friday April 8 at 10 a.m. at Sinton Cemetery in Sinton, Texas. Visitation was held Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Lester Thomas Reeves

Lester Thomas Reeves, 73, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at his home in Graham. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

Lester was born Dec. 23, 1948 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to the late William Eugene and Mildred (McFarland) Reeves. He married Rebecca Jean Hocutt Sept. 24, 2017 in Graham.

Survivors include: wife, Becky J. Reeves of Graham; daughters, Janice Kaye Scott of Graham and Jennifer K. Callahan of Frisco; step-daughter, Robin R. Reeves of Jacksboro; brother, C.R. Reeves of Weatherford; two grandchildren.

Angela Lia Harber Correll

Angela Lia Harber Correll passed from this earthly life on March 31, 2022, following a short illness. Lia was born in Abilene, Texas, on Oct. 1, 1966.

She is survived by her parents, Don and Julie Harber: of Graham, brother Michael of Graham, sisters Heather Harber and Holly Harber Bandy, of Graham, nephew Bryce Bandy, of Graham, and special friend Cory Edens.

William L. Lyles

William L. Lyles, 95, left this world peacefully to be with Jesus the morning of March 30, 2022. He was born to the late Robert L Lyles, a carpenter, and Annie Irene Lyles, a homemaker, in Young County, Texas, on Oct. 7, of 1926. He worked with his father in a carpentry business then proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII and the Korean conflict and later received a degree from Texas A&M University. He spent most of his life working with the Soil and Water Conservation Districts of Texas and continued to work with them well into his eighties.

Jennifer Smith

It is with overwhelming pain and sadness we announce the passing of Jennifer Smith. She was our beloved daughter, soulmate, friend and the joy of our lives. She fought valiantly all the things life threw at her for many years but succumbed March 25, 2022.

She was born July 7,1970 in Bryan, Texas, graduating from Graham High School in 1988. She never met a dog she didn’t love nor a stranger she didn’t talk to. Every conversation included a wise remark or a funny comeback. She will forever be in our hearts and on our minds.

Mattie Rose Upham

Mattie Rose Upham, age 80, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022, in Graham. Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at The Cowboy Church of Young County. Burial followed in Gooseneck Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Mattie was born Feb. 20, 1942 in Haskell to Jim and Argie (Wright) McFadden. Mattie married James “Jim” Upham in Mineral Wells on Aug. 11, 1980, he preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 2017. Mattie worked as a beautician for many years.

Thurman L. Boyd

Thurman L. Boyd, 93, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022, in Graham. Funeral was at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022, in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. A private burial will be at 12 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022, in Yantis Cemetery in Yantis, Texas. Visitation will follow at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Mineola, Texas.

Joann Reedy

Joann Reedy, 86, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022 in Graham. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at First United Methodist Church. Burial was in Pioneer Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Joann was born on July 5, 1935, in Graham, to JC Jackson and Adele Hinson. She married Jimmy Reedy on July 28, 1953, in Graham, he preceded her in death on May 3, 2014. Joann was a former employee of GISD working in the Administration Office. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church.

Denise Fowler Ponder

Denise Fowler Ponder, age 60 passed away on March 22, 2022 in Wichita Falls. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022, in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel.

Denise was born on Dec. 1, 1961, in Colorado City, Texas, to Darrell Fowler and Delois (Copas) Fowler. She married John Ponder in Graham on June 8, 1979.

Denise is survived by her husband John Ponder of Vernon; son Daryl Ponder of Vernon; daughter, Carolyn Ponder of Roanoke;  and sister Doris Morris of Bowie.
