The Graham Steers scored the first 21 points in their 45-14 Region I win over the Shallowater Mustangs.

For the majority of the game, the Graham defense was once again a force that Shallowater could not contend with.

Though the Mustangs did rush for 226 yards on 45 carries, the majority of their drives were halted by the stout pressure and speedy coverage of the Steers.

Ben Davis completed 22 of his 31 pass attempts for 251 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.

Dillon Gonzales averaged eight yards per carry with 168 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns to go with 80 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown.

Bryce Reeves had 80 receiving yards and a touchdown, and Todd Parker finished with four catches and 42 yards.

The Steers will play Argyle in the semifinal game at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Justin Northwest.

Graham will be the visiting team in the contest.
