The Lady Blues beat the Vernon Lions 49-38 in a tiebreaker game Saturday afternoon in Wichita Falls to claim outright ownership of the third-place spot.

Madison Farmer lit up the scoreboard with 21 points to lead the team, and Lanna Plaster added 12.

Candice Martin made two huge three-pointers on her way to an 11-point game; Lexie Allen scored three; and Rylee Zimmer added two.

The Blues will play the Springtown Lady Porcupines tomorrow at 6 p.m. in Jacksboro in the opening round of the playoffs.

The Blues and Porcupines have played each other twice this season, splitting the wins in those two matchups.
