The Graham Steers received five nominations and one honorable mention to the district 6-4A all-district team. The Steers captured the baseball bi-district championship over Iowa Park in 2016, and district rival Abilene Wylie brought home the 4A state championship.

Dillon Rodgers was named first team all-district team as a pitcher. Rodgers served as the ace of the pitching staff and provided several quality starts for the Steers in their district and postseason run. Rodgers had a posted record of 7-5 through 12 starts. His ERA at the end of the season was recorded at 3.39. Rodgers pitched an impressive 72.1 innings in 2016.

Senior Connor Smith was named first team all-district team as an infielder. Smith was an offensive threat for the Steers and provided a solid glove. Smith had a .416 batting average through 32 games played for the Steers. Smith scored 25 runs and drove in 37 RBIs.

Evan Schraub was named first team all-district team as an outfielder. Schraub hit .318 on the season with 28 runs scored and recorded 12 RBIs.

Jaxon Brockway was named second team all-district as an infielder. Brockway pitched and started the season at catcher in a few games, also. Brockway hit .291 on the season. He scored 31 runs and had eight RBIs on the season.

Senior Logan Taylor was named to the second team at first base. Taylor hit .354 on the season. He had 16 RBIs on the season.

Tucker Horn was named as an all-district honorable mention. Horn held down third base for most of the season. He pitched, as well. Horn had a .327 batting average with 19 RBIs. On the mound, his record was 2-2 in six starts. Horn had an ERA of 3.39 with 33 innings pitched.

The Steers developed tremendously as a team as the season progressed. The accolades point to that progress and will help the Steers continue their momentum going forward.
