TYLER, Texas (AP) East Texas authorities say a third suspect has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a mother caught in gang crossfire while at a park with her 3-year-old son.
Tyler police say 20-year-old Ke'Avier Jarrod Wilson-Hurd was arrested and charged with murder Friday. He remained in Smith County jail on $1 million bond. A jail official didn't have attorney information.
Police say Wilson-Hurd fired numerous rounds at the other two suspects arrested in the death of Briana Raquel Young, who was shot July 30 at P.T. Cole Park. Her son wasn't hurt.
Wilson-Hurd was arrested for unlawfully carrying a weapon after police got a call late Thursday about a man standing in a roadway and waving a gun. Investigators then secured an arrest warrant for murder in the park slaying.
