FORT WORTH, Texas—A judge has revoked a North Texas woman's plea deal over the 2011 shooting death of her husband after she later claimed to be innocent.

Judge Scott Wisch of Fort Worth on Monday rejected the agreement for Michele Williams of Keller and ordered a trial. He also recused himself and dismissed her lawyers, at their request.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram ( reports Williams testified Monday that she's not guilty, plus maintained her innocence during a jailhouse interview. Williams was being held without bond Tuesday on murder and evidence tampering charges.

She faced up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty last October to deadly conduct and tampering with evidence in the death of Gregory Williams. Investigators say the wife blamed an intruder, but later said her husband committed suicide.
