Time Warner Cable spokesman Rich Ruggiero says the company has resolved a technical issue that affected just the Fox standard-definition channel, not the Fox high-definition channel. He says the company apologizes for the inconvenience to customers.
Earlier, hundreds of football fans took to Twitter to complain about the blackout.
Customers lost the standard-definition signal for about an hour, starting before the halftime show. Two other Time Warner cable channels—KCAL-TV and KTLA-TV—also were blacked out.
Ruggiero says the company is investigating the cause of the blackout.
