Robin Thicke is about to go on national TV and beg Paula Patton to come back to him.
This should end well.
Because flowers, candy and frequent public appeals aren't enough when a guy ticks off his hot actress wife by simulating sex at an awards show with a former Disney star young enough to be his daughter, Thicke has now written a song aimed at getting his estranged wife back, which he'll perform at the Billboard Music Awards.
It's called "Get Her Back."
TMZ obtained a copy of the lyrics, which go something like "I should've kissed you longer / I should've held you stronger."
He should try "I wasn't so wily to get away with grinding on Miley."
Thanks. I thought that up myself.
Other lyrics written by the "Blurred Lines" singer reportedly include "All I wanna do is make it right" ... "I gotta get her, go get her back / I gotta treat her right / I gotta cherish her for life" ... "I should've kissed you longer / I should've held you stronger / And I'll wait for forever for you."
As the great purple philosopher from Minneapolis once said "Forever is a mighty long time ... ."
The groveling happens 8 p.m. Sunday on ABC. You may not want to eat until after the show.
Patton left Thicke not too long after his the MTV Music Video Awards in August, which saw Thicke dancing provocatively with Cyrus. And a photo taken after the awards show caught Thicke with his hand up the dress of a young blonde woman.
