Young County has been hit with tornadoes, lay-offs and a national health disaster, but one organization is trying to provide relief to the community.

Shelly Bryant, Tony Ramirez, Travis Stewart and Jack Riddle launched a group on Facebook called Helping Hearts on Wednesday, March 25. Their goal is to meet the needs of those in Young County through the help of HighRidge Church and several Young County residents.

“We are creating Young County Helping Hearts. Essentially anyone that was affected by the tornado or their income has been affected by this virus, we are collecting the names via private message only,” said Bryant. “It’s their names and their contact information, reaching out to those people one on one and then communicating that information back to the church and the folks that want to help, as far as what the need is, so all their needs are being met.”

For anyone affected by these occurrences, the page asks for a name and contact information be sent to them in a private message.
