Young County continues to see spike in positive COVID-19 tests

From June 29 through July 6, Young County had 45 positive COVID-19 tests confirmed, with 32 of them believed to be county residents.

As of Monday, July 6, Young County has tested 1,813 people with 98 confirmed positive results, according to Graham Regional Medical Center. Forty seven of those positive cases are still reported to be active, one of them hospitalized.

From June 29 to July 1, Young County saw 14 new confirmed positive cases, then Thursday, July 2, alone had 14 new positive COVID-19 cases. According to Local Health Authority Dr. Pat Martin, several of those positive cases were of those residing outside of the county.
