Graford Sports Briefs
Graford volleyball season in full swing
Graford took on Poolville at Poolville last Friday in the district 9-2A match up of unbeaten teams.
Graford came out victorious in three sets, 25-12, 25-20, 25-23. Graford is now 20-3 for the year and 5-0 in district play.
“It's really been a team effort and I feel we are starting to come together,” said team coach Derek Wuthrich “It seems like any time we make a few errors in a row, we respond with a big point so it doesn't get out of control. We have ladies stepping up offensively and defensively to make big plays to eliminate opponents going on scoring runs.”
Graford previously defeated Ranger in three sets, 25-6, 25-8, 25-7. They took on Newcastle at home last Tuesday and came out victorious, 25-16, 25-21, 25-13.
