On Saturday evening thousands of people lined the shores of Camp Grady Spruce while others on boats crowded inside Hell’s Gate Cove and filled the distance between to see the spectacular fireworks display. All were waiting to get a glimpse of the “Waterfall of Fire” across Hell’s Gate entrance, at the 29th annual Hell’s Gate Fireworks Show, sponsored by the Possum Kingdom Chamber of Commerce.
At Graford’s Fourth of July in the Park friends and neighbors gathered to enjoy the music from Swing Country, with Brady Bowen, while celebrating and sharing the latest news. As in years past, free hot dogs, ice cream, cake, cookies and cold drinks were served to all. Children of all ages were also treated to hay rides.
Graford ISD Trustees accept the 2016-17 budget at a regular meeting on Thursday, June 30.
The sixth annual Buckets and Boots Music Festival will take place on Saturday, July 9, at the Rocker B Ranch, located at 1125 Chaney Lane in Graford, featuring Country Music artists Wade Bowen, Jason Boland and the Stragglers, Jack Ingram and Jerry Jeff Walker. The event is a relief concert and celebration of the 11 groups of local volunteer firefighters.
