It’s time for local artists to think about entering their works in the annual Lake Country Show in Graham, hosted by the Graham Art Guild and presented at the Old Post Office Museum and Art Center.

The juried show, for paid-up members of one’s local art club or guild, will be held from Saturday, Aug. 5 through Friday, Aug. 25. There is a limit of five entries per person; $25 entry fee for up to five pieces.

Registration will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 1 and 2, at the OPOMAC, and a reception will be held at the same location at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5.

Works will be accepted in the following categories: oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, 3-D works, photography, pencil/pen and experimental works.

All artwork must be original, created within the last two years, and not have been shown at the OPOMAC previously. Pieces must be framed or on gallery-wrapped canvas or board. All must be wired for hanging – no sawtooth hangers or masking tape.

Classwork must be marked as such, and will be juried separately.

Pieces must be for sale, and there will be a 20-percent commission paid to the Graham Art Guild on all sales.
