Graham High School staff member Toni Stansell can be seen at every Steers football game. Stansell loves football. Forget about college on Saturdays or NFL on Sundays. It is the Friday night lights and high school football that she loves. In particular, it is the Graham Steers that she loves. She can be seen in the stands every Friday, cheering and crocheting for the team she loves.

Crocheting, yes, she brings her hook and yarn to every football game. It is her way of keeping calm during the game. It is also her way of giving back to the parents of her “adopted sons.”

Stansell started crocheting during the games around four years ago she said. It started as something to deal with anxiety she feels during the game as well as other reasons.
