Couple to celebrate 70th anniversary

The children of Ernest and Leveta (Bramlet) Sims will host a 70th wedding anniversary come-and-go reception Saturday, Aug. 13 from 1 to 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Dublin, Texas. Both Ernest and Leveta grew up in Young County. Ernest graduated from Olney High, while Leveta is a Graham High graduate. The couple were married Aug. 11, 1946, in Graham, and lived in Denton, Mineral Wells and Dublin, where they now make their home. They have three children: Dr. Cliff Sims and wife Denise; Darla Cannon and husband, Kenneth; Donna Benton and husband, Steve. They have four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren. They have been members of the First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells for 62 years.
