Graham High School was the host of a 2019 Fellowship of Christian Athletes Fields of Faith event on Oct. 9. According to a release from Big Country East FCA, approximately 1,800 students gathered at Newton Field for the 11th annual event.

Students from Olney, Graham, Newcastle, Bryson, Breckenridge, Throckmorton, Perrin, Mineral Wells and Woodson traveled to the event to hear music from the Lucas West Worship Band. Pastor Shane Pruitt from Dallas was the guest speaker.

Brinkley Richardson, Bryson, gave the opening prayer. Celeste Rogers, Olney, read scripture from the Bible. Cooper Shook, Breckenridge, gave an Old Testament scripture challenge. Amy Martinez, Newcastle, gave a New Testament scripture challenge. Keltzey Gough, Graham, gave a personal testimony.

“God speaks to students differently each year at Fields of Faith Graham, and I thought last night was especially worshipful as the students responded to the challenge to take the next step in their relationship with Christ,” said  Big Country FCA East Board Member Jimmy Guinn.

According to the Big Country FCA website, FCA is the largest Christian sports ministry in the world and focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ.
