The Graham Regional Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary raised over $48,000 for GRMC last month at its annual celebrity auction and golf tournament. GRMC Board of Trustees member and tournament organizer Sylvia Overton made the announcement this week in a release.

The two-day event took place Sept. 12-13 at Wildcatter Ranch and Graham Country Club. The silent auction took place Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. at Wildcatter Ranch. Ex-NFL player and current country singer Joe King provided musical entertainment as well as Finis Smith. The golf tournament took place the following day at the Graham Country Club.

“I was shocked when I got the final figures,” Overton said during the September GRMC Board of Trustees meeting. “It was just awesome and people were at the event and were giving cash donations.”

The funds raised at the event go directly to GRMC to support the hospital and staff.
