For a third year, the Graham Soccer Association and Graham VFW Memorial Post 8567 will light up the Graham soccer fields during the 4th at the Fields event this Saturday.

Gates will open for the event on the Graham soccer fields at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 29. The cost to attend will be $10 per car and proceeds will benefit GSA. GSA Director of Fundraising and Publicity, Guy Gage, said the event was created as a way to give back to the community.

“There used to be the Fort Belknap Fourth of July and there really wasn’t any local community fireworks show that was offered and a lot of the folks on our board wanted to give back to the community in some way. We always try to be well-rounded with the kids, encourage good citizenship on and off the field and so this is one of the ways the association said we can do a family event,” he said. “We just thought it would be fun and games, you know, an evening on the fields and, as we were talking about it, the local VFW chapter came in and said, ‘Hey we would like to get involved with the kids as well,’ and so they actually do the fireworks show.”

Before the fireworks show will be other activities including music by Ross Shifflett, Brendan Weatherman and DJ Chris Stroud. The event will also have bounce houses, soccer fun skills and pickup games, Prayer for our Nation by Redeemer Church and various food vendors such as Kona Ice, Rock Bottom BBQ, street tacos and more.
