As the Graham Noon Lions Club continues its annual Goodfellows raffle to support the Angel Tree Project, the project will be joining forces with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Young County campaign to distribute toys to needy families in Young County. Beginning this year, the campaign will provide toys for the Angel Tree Project.

The announcement was made Wednesday at the Noon Lions Club meeting at NCTC by campaign coordinator Dave Reid and Lions Club Angel Tree Project Co-Chair Tiffany Fade.

“We are doing the same mission to the same people,” Reid said. “Toys for Tots is going to take the (around) 200 children that you help every year and supply two to three toys for everyone of those kids. This will leave your donations to go toward things that I can’t supply. To avoid double-dipping, (we) will enter all of your applicants into the Toys for Tots system. We will then be able to remove and duplicates and let them know that they will still be getting serviced by the Angel Tree.”
