Blanton to fill board vacancy for GISD Board of Trustees

The Graham ISD board of trustees Wednesday accepted Chris Blanton to fill the board vacancy left by member Stan Peavy, III, who made the board aware of his resignation in August.

Blanton works at Graham Savings and Loan as a banker and is a graduate of Graham High School and Texas Tech University, according to the Graham Savings and Loan website. He also has worked in the energy industry for both publicly traded companies and locally owned businesses. Blanton is the chairman of the Graham Airport Board and is a member of the Parks and Recreation Board.

The resignation of Peavy was presented to the board Wednesday, Aug. 12, during their regular meeting at Graham High School.
