For over 20 years, Campbell Farm & Ranch has been doing business selling rural real estate in the area and that work was recently recognized.

Headquartered in Graham, the company has sold properties in Young, Throckmorton, Stephens, Jack, Archer, Shackelford, Haskell, Knox, Baylor, Palo Pinto, Eastland, Erath, Foard and Stonewall counties.

The website Land.com celebrates the top land real estate firms and brokers and owner Boone Campbell and his team at Campbell Farm & Ranch were recognized with four awards in April for the southwest region.

Boone received individual awards for total sales by individual top producers and total acres by individual top producers, while the same awards were also presented to the firm as a whole.

Additionally in April, The Land Report publication presented Campbell Farm & Ranch for a third year with the Best of Texas Brokerage designation. The designation is presented to firms demonstrating top performance, market expertise and customer service.

In 2024, the company closed 13 transactions in Young County with a combined value of $9.14 million in sales. Across Young, Stephens, Throckmorton, Eastland, Archer, Haskell and Comanche counties, the company totaled $36.12 million in sales in 2024.

Around 25 years ago, Boone’s father David moved from the life of a ranch hand into farm and ranch real estate. Boone graduated from Texas Tech University in 2008 and helped to push the company’s website, social media marketing and internet presence.

“When I first started, I took the pictures, wrote all the descriptions, built the website,” Boone said. “...Drones came out. I immediately saw how great they were. You couldn't get anybody to come out here to do any work because it was just so far. So I went and got my drone license and then started doing it myself.”

That work, along with others such as the website creation, was able to be passed on as the business progressed.

From around 2000 to 2016, Boone ran the company as a lone wolf until his wife Stephanie joined the operation part time while also working for an oil and gas company in Graham.

Stephanie eventually moved to become co-owner of the company as it began to expand with agents.

“Our pattern hasn't ever been to have a bunch of agents. I wanted the company to be able to support the agents beforehand,” Boone said. “When Stephanie came on, that was about 10 years ago, I realized that she was taking enough off of my plate that I could start that next step of being able to have time to train agents and really grow the company.”

The first two agents to join the company were Travis Patterson and Heath Kramer, who have been with the agency for almost nine years.

Later the company would add Kathy Bailes and LaChelle Clark to their growing list of agents.

Boone grew up in Caddo and attended Breckenridge High School, and despite it being his rival school growing up, has grown to love the city and community.

“We spend a lot of time at Lake Graham. We live out there and we like to spend our time on the lake enjoying it,” he said. “We do a lot. We like to go to the events that Graham has, like food truck. Crawfish and Cannons is one of our favorite events to go to.”

Boone Campbell celebrated 15 years as the owner and manager of the company and 12 years as a broker. He said he can not believe where the business has gone from when he started.

“I sold 40 to 80 acre tracks, steadily. I remember somebody making a comment that you're the guy for small acreage. And it was a compliment, but it hurt, because I was trying to grow this into the brokerage that it is today. But I knew I was on the right path when I was getting compliments like that,” he said.

As the company looks to the future, it is working to develop their two new agents as they explore gradually expanding further west.

“Our process is slow growth, and I think that's part of our success too,” Boone said. “I still don't have the intent of adding a bunch of agents in our area. My agents that I have are very good at what they do. We may move a couple more counties out before we start really solidifying our area. But the growth isn't over with.”
