Donna Goray worked her way up from a drive-in bank teller to CFO of Ciera Bank over her career and now she is ready to begin the next chapter of her life.

Goray began her banking career in 1975 at what was then First National Bank in Graham. Senior management recognized her skills and by 1981 she had been promoted to Assistant Vice President/ Operations Officer. She was promoted into senior management in 1984 as Vice President overseeing investments, accounting and operations.

“I did not think that I would be here at the bank for that length of time,” she said. “But, I’m glad I stayed, I have enjoyed every minute.”

Goray would serve in a variety of senior management roles before being elected to the board in 1995 and serving as CFO and chairman of the board from 2005 to 2013.
