The Graham City Council accepted a bid from Jarrod Stephens on the old city hall building located at 429 4th St. City Hall moved to the former American Legion Building at the beginning of the year which was revitalized into the new facility.

Bids were due to the city at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17 at their new City Hall property at 612 Elm St. and started being accepted in July. The city took steps to begin the sale of the property in May when the Graham City Council approved City Manager Brandon Anderson to request an appraisal on the building and then begin the sale of the property. The appraisal was done by Enlow Appraisal of Wichita Falls and the fair market value was assessed at $90,000.

The bid accepted by the council was for $121,500 and was one of three bids submitted for the property. Other bids made on the property were a bid of $102,002 from Jeff Mercer on behalf of Steer Realty and a bid of $70,000 from Shannon Plowman Potts to use the facility as a possible Young County Historical Museum or a facility associated with the museum.
