The city of Graham closed city hall to all non-city employees until further notice on Thursday, due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19.

The closure was one of many which happened across the city, state and country last week in an effort to stop the spread of novel coronavirus. The staff at city hall will be working and be available by phone or email, according to a press release from the city. A list of contact information for city employees can be found at cityofgrahamtexas.com.

“If you are needing to set up new services, disconnect services, or make a utility payment please call 940-549-3322,” the release states. “Online payments can be made at www.cityofgrahamtexas.com, click on the pay your bill online icon and follow the steps, you will need the amount of your last payment and we will be happy to provide you with that information at 940-549-3322. Payments can also be left in the drop box just inside the front door of City Hall.”

Water disconnections on March 28 for those who have not paid their bills will be suspended for 30 days until April 28. However, no fees are being waived and all sums will remain due to the city. No water services will be disconnected in the next 30 days in order to encourage hand-washing as a preventive measure.
