The Graham City Council continued their discussions Tuesday on the proposed budget for the 2018-19 fiscal year, narrowing down the capital request for each city department and presenting the city’s valuation data.

In total the requests amounted to $589,400, but not all requests by each department were accepted. City Manager Brandon Anderson said on Tuesday at the second budget meeting that he budgeted $389,000 in the general fund of the amount requested, with a planned progress report six months into the year.

“Another thing I plan to do on these capital requests is wait until we are six months into the year just like we did last year and make sure we haven’t seen any disasters, sales tax revenue is staying good and everything is rocking along like it should,” he said.
