The Graham City Council tabled and created a committee to review a business proposal for renovations and additions to Lake Eddleman Park from RKJ Adventures, LLC. Notable additions for the proposed project would be the addition of cabins, a bait shop, a floating water park and a bar and grill at the park.

Graham City Manager Brandon Anderson said he expected more submissions of bids for potential projects at Lake Eddleman, but said the one the city received was well prepared and presented. Anderson suggested and the council approved tabling until the next meeting to find out more about the project.

“Because it’s a proposal and because I think it’s important that we scour through and see who we are dealing with, my recommendation would be today that we table this item and then I’d like to (...) ask the mayor to appoint a committee,” Anderson said. “I would like to be a part of that committee as well as I would like to get the GEIC president to be a part of that committee and I would like representation too from the city council to sit in on that committee when we can get these individuals back and sit down and visit about that proposal and then come back to the city council next meeting.”
