The city of Graham will host a public hearing Monday regarding the submission of an application to Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the Local Park Grant Program. The city is attempting to obtain TPWD matching grants to allow for more improvements to the local parks.

The hearing will be held at 5:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at Graham City Hall, 429 Fourth St. According to the public hearing notice released from the city of Graham by City Manager Brandon Anderson, the meeting is to provide members of the community an opportunity make comments regarding the potential improvements to the city parks.

“The purpose of this meeting is to allow citizens an opportunity to discuss the application for improvements to Firemen’s Park and Shawnee Springs Park,” the release reads. “The City encourages citizens to participate in the development of this TPWD application and to make their views known at this public hearing. Citizens unable to attend this meeting may submit their views to Sharon McFadden at the City Hall.”
